Why? Immiscible liquids never mix with each other. This is because of the difference in density and the liquids just separate out in layers. Least dense liquids will appear on the top whereas more dense ones will fall to the bottom.

Just FYI, if you mix oil and water, you can see after some time that oil falls to the bottom, whereas water stays at the top. This is because oil is more denser than water. I hope this example will help!
