what happens to the net force if two force act in opposite direction

when two forces act in an opposite direction then the summation or the resultant force depends upon the quantity of forces applied, if any of the forces are more than the other then the body will move in the same direction of the largest force , iF they are same in quantity the net force will be zero hence the body will not move

Fazyl: summation is also correct cause one of the forces will be negative
