what happens to the resistance as the conductor is made is closed? ​

Resistance is directly proportional to length of the conductor and inversely proportional to area of cross-section of the conductor. ... So,when the conductor is made thicker,its area of cross-section increases and as resistance is inversely proportional to the area of cross-section,thus resistance decreases.

If the conductor made thicker, the area of cross - section of the conductor increases. So, as area of cross - section increases, the resistance of conductor decreases if there is the conductor if there is the conductor is made thicker.
