What happens to the resistance of a conductor when it’s area of cross-section is increased?

When the amount of current flowing at constant energy increases, the area of cross section also increases, resulting in decrease in resistance. As the amount of current flowing at constant voltage increases with increase in cross section of area, resistance decreases.
