What happens to the resistance of the conductor when its length is reduced to half

resistance become half bcz resistance is directly perportional to length

We know that, 

R = \rho   \frac{L}{A}

Where, rho (p) - resistivity , L- length , A - cross sectional area. 

From this it is clearly understood that, resistance is directly proportional to length.

Then, When Length is reduced by half, then resistance will also reduce to half of this initial value.
