A physical change takes place in the shape of the toothpaste tube when we squeeze it.

  • A physical change refers to the changes in shape and size of an object which can be reversed back to its original form.
  • When we squeeze a toothpaste tube, we are using an external force to change the shape of the tube.
  • This shape can also be brought back to its original form by the application of external force.
  • It is not a chemical change because no change in the chemical composition of the tube is taking place.
