what happens to the stomata when cells becom straight

the opening and closing of stomata is controlled by guard cells.when water flows into the guard cells from the neighbouring epidermal cells they swell i.e. become turgid and becone curved and cause the opening of stomatal pore .when the guard cells lose water tey shrink become straight and cause the closure of stomatal

transpiration doesn't take place
