What happens to the uniform motion of a body when it is given an acceleration at right angle to its motion?

Explanation:

it will begin to move in a circular motion because the force will not effect its velocity as it will be always at right angle to it

it changes its direction at every instant of the motion after it is applied..so it will behave as a centripetal force for the body centred to the center of a circle and the body will move in a circular path..
