In case of humans, its not nephridia-its nephron. (i) Process of re-absorption occurs through Renal tubule. Substances like water, glucose, Na+, amino acids gets reabsorbed in the proximal tubule. The filterate then passes through loop of Henle where more reabsorption of water takes place. (ii) ADH (Anti-diuretic hormone) (iii) Hemodialysis:- when kidneys fail to function, large amount of wastes get accumulated in blood resulting in excess fluid and high blood pressure. In hemodialysis, only a few drops of blood are allowed to flow, through a special filter that removes wastes and extra fluid. The detoxified blood is then returned to the body. The special filter used in dialysis consists of a number of tubes with semi-permeable lining, suspended in a tank filled with the dialysis fluid. F
