what happens whaen an iron nail is placed in copper sulphate solution ? write a word equation of the reaction involved

Iron is more reactive than copper sulphate therefore iron displaces the copper, this is known as displacement reaction.
CuSO4 +Fe ----> FeSO4+Cu
