what happens what happened what happens what is it what happens when wood charcoal is treated with ferric oxide? Write the chemical equation for it.

This reaction used for the iron extraction.

we need to take 50:50 or we can say 1:1 ration of charcoal and ferric oxide.

crush it.

give sand bath.

Heat at the top of crucible until charcoal turns red.

When the reaction will be finished you will see the lump of molten iron in a crucible.


1 meter stainless steel tube can be used for safety.
