Answer:

1. When dilute sulphuric acid is poured on a copper plate, no reaction takes place due to less reactivity of copper. Copper gets deposited on the iron nail and green solution is ferrous sulphate solution.

2. When an iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, a brown coating of copper is formed in the surface of iron and the colour of copper sulphate solution changes from blue to pale green. The reaction shows that iron is more reactive than copper because it displaces copper from the copper sulphate solution.

Answer:

A

there is is no reaction between copper metal and dilute sulphuric acid

cooper + sulphuric \: acid = \: no \: reaction

B

when iron nails are placed in a copper sulphate solution, iron start dissolving in the solution and copper metal start precipitating. The blue colour of solution fats away this reaction take place

because iron is more reactive than copper.

iron \: + \: cooper \: sulphate \: = \: iron \: + \: cooper
