(a) When dilute sulphuric acid is poured on a copper plate, copper does not react with dilute sulphuric acid. Copper + dilute sulphuric acid → No reaction (b) When iron nails are placed in copper sulphate, displacement reaction takes place in which iron converts into copper. The blue colour copper sulphate has turned greenish. Iron + Copper sulphate → Iron sulphate + copper (blue) (light green)

Displacement Reaction occurs in both the cases.
