When base reacts with an acid, it gets neutralized and salt and water is formed.
This is called neutralization process.

Example:

NaoH +Hcl = Nacl +H2O

Here when NaoH (base) is reacted with Hcl (acid) then Nacl (salt) and H2O is produced
