If the density of the body more than that of the liquid, it sinks. But if the density of the body is less than that of the liquid, it floats.

Answer:

Answer:•When an object is immersed in water basically two forces acts on it.

•One is buoyant force or upthrust acting in upward direction and the other one is gravity acting as weight in downward direction.

When these two forces are equal then they will cancel out each other and there will be no movement of immersed object.
