What happens when a boiled potato cup filled with the hypotonic salt solution is kept in simple water?

A hypertonic solution, the solution will have a higher solute concentration than the cell, resulting in water leaving it. A Hypotonic solution has a lower solute concentration than that of inside the cell, resulting in water entering the cell.
