When a copper vessel is exposed to moist air firstly the copper vessel will turn to green color because of the reactivation of the copper with the moist air that is the hydrogen and the oxygen and even some other molecules or compounds.

When any copper vessel is exposed to the air it reacts with the compounds present in the air and we can see that the colour of the copper vessel changes into green.thats bcoz of tue reaction with the hydrogen,oxygen/vapour and etc compounds.
Hope this helps.
