a)when dilute sulphuric acid reacts with copper, it forms copper sulphate and hydrogen gas as copper displaces hydrogen .

H2SO4+Cu--> CuSO4. +. H2

b)when zin granules are placed in copper sulphate solution , zinc displaces copper from its solution and forms zinc sulphate

Zn+ CuSO4 ---->. ZnSO4. + Cu
