The metals above hydrogen in the Reactivity Series can react with with dilute acids, giving off hydrogen gas. Those metals below hydrogen in the Reactivity Series do not react with dilute acids. Hydrogen is used in industry to extract tungsten metal from its oxide in a displacement reaction
