a)When Silver Nitrate solution is added to Copper the solution gradually becomes blue and A shining greyish white deposit of silver metal is found on copper strip:
2AgNO3(aq)+ Cu(s)------> Cu(NO3)2(aq) + 2Ag(s)
Copper metal displaces silver from silver nitrate solution for copper nitrate and silver metal because copper is more reactive than silver.
b) When Aluminium is added to hydrochloric acid it forms aluminium Chloride and hydrogen gas. Aluminium reacts rapidly with HCl.
2Al(s) + 6HCl(aq)------>2AlCl3(aq) +3H2(g)
