when solids are heated they change their state into liquid and if liquid is heated then it changes its state to gas

Hi Bhumikfadadu!!
When a solid is heated, it gets converted to it's liquid state and on further heating it transforms into the gaseous or vapour state. For example, qhen you heat ice, it melts into liquid, which then converts into vapours when heated again..
However, sublimable solids like mapthalene, ammonium etc. convert into gases directly on heating(without undergoing the liquid phase)
