Hey dear,

● Answer -
When acetylene gas is passed over ammoniacal silver nitrate soln gives white ppt of disilveracetylide is formed.

● Explanation -
- Silver nitrate reacts with ammonia as follows -
AgNO3 + 2NH3 → [Ag(NH3)2NO3]

- When acetylene is passed over ammoniacal silver nitrate solution, white ppt of disilveracetylide is formed.
CH≡CH + [Ag(NH3)2NO3] → AgC≡CAg + 2NH4NO3 + 2NH3

Hope this helped you.
