When acid reacts with metal carbonates nd metal hydrogen carbonates than metalic salt, water and, co² will form

NaHco3 + hcl = nacl +h2o + co2
Na²Co³ + 2hcl =2nacl + h20 +C0²

hope this may helps u

acid reacts with metal carbonates and bicarbonates to produce salt, CO2 and H2O

example:

NaHco3 + hcl = nacl +h2o + co2
Na²Co³ + 2hcl =2nacl + h20 +C0²
