when acids react with bases
formation of salt takes place whose nature depends on acid and base concentration i.e.
strong acid and weak base== acidic salt
weak acid and strong base==basic salt
both weak or both strong==neutral salt
water is also formed with salt
this is an exogenous reaction and so heat energy is also released

when acids and bases react with each other water and a salt forms because base have OH - ion and acids have H + ion. they both forms water by adding with each other and the remain elements form a salt.
