Aluminium reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to give aluminum chloride and hydrogen gas. The balanced equation is = 2Al(s) + 6HCl(aq) -----> 2AlCl3(aq) + 3H2(g). Al+HCl gives AlCl3+hydrogen So aluminium chloride is formed as a result.
