What happens when an iron nail is kept immersed in copper sulphate solution?Write a word equation.

This happens when all the copper is displaced from the solution of copper sulphate. When Iron nail (Ferrum) is dipped in Copper sulphate (CuSO4) there takes reaction between them andcoppersulphate change its color from blue to light green. This shows Iron is more reactive than Copper, it can replace Copper from CuSO4.

What happens when nails kept into a copper sulphate solution?

When an iron nail is kept in copper sulphate solution, a reddish brown coating is seen on the iron nail after sometime.

Also, the colour of the copper sulphate solution changes from blue to green.
