what happens when an oxidising agent is added to butanol?Explain with the help of a chemical equation

it will convert into butanoic acid.
ch3ch2ch2ch2oh + O → ch3ch2ch2cooh

If the oxidising agent is strong it get convert into butanoic acid but if there is mild or weak oxidising agent then it get convert into butanal.
