When blood vessels or the circulatory tubes are damaged or injured and get punctured, blood can leak into the surrounding tissues leading to accumulation of blood in the surrounding tissues. This condition is referred to as Hematoma and is caused when a capillary, vein or artery is subjected to trauma.
