◾Blue Vitriol : CuSO4.5 H2O

↪Heating of blue vitriol involves the following reaction :


CuSO4.5 H2O ------------------> CuSO4 + 5H2O

◾When heated , Blue Vitriol losses the water o f Crystallization attached .

◾Also , the colour changes from Blue to White as it becomes Anhydrous .

Blue vitriol is hydrated copper sulphate when it is heated water of crystalization escapes from Crystals and anhydrous copper sulphate (CuSO4) without any water of crystalization..
