What happens when cells in torch are inserted in reverse order..why no current flows?

Hey.
Here is the answer.
As the current always flows in a circuit from positive terminal to negative terminal opposite to the direction of flow of electrons and since most torches use DC bulbs so the terminals are not in correct sequence and hence no current flows.
If device is cheap then it may fuse the bulb too.
