When CO2 gas is passed through lime water it turns milky in colour.
CO2 + CaOh2 ==> CaCO3 + H20.
when we pass excess of CO2 through lime water , the milky white colour disappear.
CaCO3 + CO2 + H2O ==> Ca(HCO3)2.
CO2 + CaOh2 ==> CaCO3 + H20.
