Hi

Washing soda has 10 water molecules as water of crystallisation. Water of crystallisation is the fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of a salt. When washing soda is exposed to air, it loses 9 molecules of crystallisation and becomes sodium carbonate monohydrate.

hope it will help!
