When dilute H2S04 is added to a mixture of iron fillings and sulphur powder, reaction occurs between dilute H2S04 and iron fillings that forms ferrous sulphate and evolution of hydrogen gas.
Fe + H2S04 = FeS04 +H2.

It will form feso4... And hydrogen is evolved.
Fe +h2so4 =feso4 + h2
