When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution called brine(10%NaCl), decomposes to form Cl₂ & H₂.Therefore its an Decomposition Reaction
2NaCl+2H₂0--> 2NaOH+Cl₂+H₂

Vaishnavi18: this is what you wanted?
slimshadyfan: no..
slimshadyfan: I actually wanted to know what type of reaction takes place
Vaishnavi18: then?
slimshadyfan: and its for ssc 10std not higher level
Vaishnavi18: this is for ssc . i have given ssc. This is what you should write
slimshadyfan: yep
slimshadyfan: tysm
