what happens when glass rod is rubbed with piece of silk cloth

hyy.....Silk has an excess of electron hence it is positively charged. When we rub a silk cloth with a glass rod the excess electrons present in the silk move towards the glass rod. Now the silk is negatively charged and the glass rod is positively charged.....
