When green coloured crystals of ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) is heated , it decomposes to form Ferric Oxide (Fe2O3) ,sulphur trioxide (SO3) and sulphur dioxide( SO2) . The sulphur dioxide gas gives the odour smell. This Reaction is an example of Thermal Decomposition Reaction. hope this helps!

Answer:

It's green colour gets removed and it becomes colourless this is because Ferrous sulphate contains water molecules through which it attains colour then when it is heated it's water molecules vaporises and it gets colourless
