Answer:when toulene reacts with con HNO3 and con H2SO4
We know that CH3 group attached to benzene ring so it activate that to form -ve sign more at ortho and para position so the electrophile NO2+,attacks at Ortho or para position to give products ,,,in such that para product is stable (not always most of cases para stable,,,in some cases ortho stable due to intermolecular hydrogen bonding not in this case)
2nd one:- nitro group attached to benzene ring it deactivated the benzene ring forms-ve charge on meta products so at meta position nitration takes place
