(ii) We dissolve oxygen in water

Answer:

1.Adding energy to anything, solid, liquid, or gas increases its temperature. The amount of temperature increase depends on how much energy is added and what the specific heat of the material is. If you have a solid and add energy, it will eventually melt. Adding enough energy to a liquid will cause it to evaporate and turn to a gas.

2.Although water molecules contain an oxygen atom, this oxygen is not what is needed by aquatic organisms living in natural waters. A small amount of oxygen, up to about ten molecules of oxygen per million of water, is actually dissolved in water

Hey mate ur answer

•If we provide extra energy say heat, the kinetic energy of molecules increases, thus the motion of liquid is increased and it starts getting vaporized at a faster pace.

• No chemical reaction takes place when we dissolve oxygen in water. Both oxygen and water retains its molecular form.
