hi dear,

When iron nail is dipped in Copper sulphate, it takes reaction between them and Copper sulphate changes its color from blue to light green. ... This could replace copper from CuSO4, and blue color and FeSO4 is in light green color. It will change its colors due to copper iron nails functions.

Explanation:

Iron nail + Copper Sulphate solution = ??

Fe + CuSO4 = FeSO4 + Cu

Therefore , when Iron nail reacts with copper Sulphate solution , the Iron displaces the Copper and forms Iron Sulphate solution along with copper residue.

The blue colour of the Copper Sulphate solution turns into light green in colour ( Iron Sulphate solution )

It is an example of displacement reaction.

I hope it helps you. If you have any doubts, then don't hesitate to ask.
