When iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution more reactive iron displaces copper from copper sulphate solution the iron nail gets coated with reddish brown copper metal and the blue colour of copper sulphate fades gradually and ferrous sulphate is formed
Fe + CuSo4 ====> FeSO4 +Cu
