Hi....
Ferrous sulphate is green in colour. On heating, the greencrystals are converted into a dirty-yellow anhydrous solid as it loses water of crystallization. When furtherheated, the anhydrous material releases sulphur dioxide and sulphur trioxide leaving a reddish-brown ironoxide.
