Lead nitrate crystal decompose to
•Lead oxide
•Oxygen
•Nitrogen dioxide( brown in colour)
Residue left is lead monoxide.
It's a decomposition reaction

When heat is passed over Lead Nitrate, thermal decomposition takes place and Lead oxide along with Nitrogen dioxide and Oxygen is produced.

We observe brown fumes due to Nitrogen Dioxide. (NO_2)

Equation:

2Pb(NO_3)_2(s) \frac{heat}{---\ \textgreater \ } 2PbO(s) + 4NO_2(g) + O_2(g)

Lead nitrate ---> Lead oxide + Nitrogen Dioxide + Oxygen
