Well, these shah-bad tiles are made up of limestone which is made of calcium carbonate. This rock is not soluble in water. However, when we add an acid, like lemon juice, it means we added three hydrogen ions, which will give hydrogen carbonate which is soluble in water. So, the limestone dissolves easily.
