When these are stimulated with light they communicate that information to the brain and we perceive light .

when light falls on retina it further causes disassociation of opsin and retinal pigments from cones and rods and cause membrane permeability and then potential differences occurring are sent to bipolar and ganglion cells and further to panic nerves carrying messages to brain and helping us to recognize objects.....
