This is an example of a double displacement reaction.

Explanation:

When magnesium bicarbonate reacts with calcium hydroxide, the products calcium bicarbonate and magnesium hydroxide are formed.

Calcium is also known as Slaked lime.

The reaction is:-

Mg(HCO_3)_2 + Ca(OH)_2 \longrightarrow Ca(HCO_3)_2 + Mg(OH)_2

It is a double displacement reaction. Here, the magnesium of the magnesium bicarbonate is replaced by calcium and the in calcium hydroxide get replaced by magnesium.
