Following is the chemical reaction taking place-->
➡️ MgO+ 2H2O---> Mg(OH)2
Here in the above chemical reaction, when magnisium oxide reacts with water, it forms Magnesium hydroxide.
It's a reversible reaction.
This reaction takes place in cold water.
