Let's Try to understand, What Methyl Orange really is?
- Methyl orange is a pH indicator, It does not have a full spectrum of color change like Universal Indicators do have
- In a solution becoming High Acidic, It changes color from red to orange
- And, In a solution becoming Basic It changes color from orange to Yellow
Now, Approaching towards your Question :
Curd :
- It's Acidic in Nature
- It's Acidic because of it's main component i.e. Lactic Acid...
- Since, It's Main ingredient is Lactic Acid,
And, As we already understood that when methyl orange indicator is added to acids, It's Turns to red color, Hence, When it's added in Lactic Acid / Curd, It Turns to Red Color
