What happens when Mg is treated with conc. HNO3 ?

This is what actually happens when HNO3 is very dilute.

Mg+ HNO3--------->Mg(NO3)2 +H2(g)

=> When Mg reacts with dil. HNO3 then the Magnesium nitrate formed and hydrogen gas liberate.

=> Mg + HNO3 ------> Mg(HNO3)2 + H2
