White light is a mixed of all colour(VIBGYOR). Every colour has different wavelength & they create ther own interference pattern and their superposition will be observed. The ring size for same order will be different for each colour. also be zeroth order central fringe will still be dark.

Answer:
When monochromatic light is replaced by white light in Newtown's rings experiment, the field will remain dark.
Explanation:
The interference pattern forms depend upon the wavelength of the light . As we know, White light is a mixture of colours which forms the VIBGYOR. In other words, the wavelength of each colour is distinct, so when monochromatic light is replaced by white light in Newtown's rings experiment, each of the colour would have their own wavelengths and it would not be possible to make a distinction. The field would thus remain dark.
