Answer. When ozone ( O ) reacts with stannous chloride ( SnCl ) in the presence of hydrochloric acid ( HCl ) , stannic chloride ( SnCl ) is formed along with water ( H O ) . In this reaction , ozone ( O ) acts as an oxidizing agent and stannous chloride ( SnCl ) acts as a reducing agent .
